I can't figure out how to star this question on my phone, so I'll be back later on. - edit - FOX I'M ONLY EDITING CAUSE YOU'RE TALKING SH.TE "The Glazers force United fans to purchase tickets. FORCE US TO BUY ALL CUP GAMES IF WE OPT IN FOR A SEASON TICKET The announcements for their attendance are based on ticket sales, not physically present supporters entering through the gates. So when the announcer states "75,000" in reality it's most likely 70-72k. 72-74K - IS THE AVERAGE ANNOUNCEMENT I HEAR AT GAMES (PL/CL/F.A. Cup) So in truth we never know how many actually turn up physically but the Wolves game (where the attendance was down to just 50,000) was a good indication that United's support is just as fickle as everyone elses at times. IN TRUTH WE DO KNOW HOW MANY SHOW UP - BETWEEN 72-74k (FOR ABOVE COMPETITIONS) PER GAME. ONLY A FEW HUNDRED MAX DON'T SHOW UP AFTER BUYING A TICKET OR PASSING ONE ON. OUR ATTENDANCES FOR MIDWEEK CARLING CUP GAMES DO DROP TO ROUGHLY THE LEVEL OF ATTENDANCE TO MAN CITY PL GAMES, BUT OUR PL, CL AND F.A CUP ATTENDANCES GIVE A GOOD INDICATION OF UNITED'S STRONG SUPPORT. ALSO MAN CITY'S ATTENDANCES DROP FOR CARLING CUP GAMES. . P.S. United didn't fill their away allocation at the City Of Manchester Stadium. I'D LIKE A LINK FOR THAT, AND EVEN IF WE DIDN'T SELL OUT FOR THAT ONE PARTICULAR GAME (WHAT BY 10 OR SOMETHING??) WE STILL HAVE THE STRONGEST AWAY FOLLOWING IN THE LEAGUE. OUR ALLOCATIONS HAVE BEEN CUT CAUSE OUR FANS REFUSE TO SIT DOWN. ______________________________________________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDmF4rPLgaY&feature=related ______________________________________________________ edit: The truth is so hard to swallow, isn't it United fans. I'm not here to tell you what you WANT to hear. XP IT'S NOT HARD TO SWALLOW MATE NO... LMAO. IT'S NOT THE TRUTH edit: LIPI....I MIGHT NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS FISH......! I am sensing some hostility on this matter (and a lack of creditable opposing viewpoints and links) Calm down Johnnykins! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-PIckHrZ0o (p.s. It's 35 now. Keep up the obsession with MCFC, won't you. Fun, innit) Source(s): Don't believe me? Okay, fine. But you're only lying to yourselves. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/6742221.stm I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS POLICY, ALTHOUGH IN PREVIOUS YEARS YOU'VE BEEN ABLE TO OPT IN FOR WHICHEVER COMPS YOU WANT AND ADD THEM TO YOUR S/TICKET. INCIDENTALLY I'VE OPTED FOR PL/CL/F.A CUP ON 2 OCCASIONS AND ALL 4 COMPS THE OTHER 4 TIMES I'VE HAD A TICKET FOR, BUT I STILL DON'T AGREE WITH THE POLICY. How can you "sell out" if you didn't buy all the season tickets? http://www.caughtoffside.com/2010/09/01/manchester-united-fall-short-of-season-ticket-target-victory-for-must/ WE NEVER SELL OUT OUR SEASON TICKETS COME DAY 1 OF THE SEASON - WHICH IS WHEN THEY ANNOUNCE SALES. THEY USUALLY SELL OUT BY THE END OF AUGUST, AND YES I WILL CONCEDE THEY DID NOT SELL OUT UNTIL OCTOBER THIS YEAR...BUT THEY STILL SOLD OUT. WHAT JOHNSON IS REFERRING TO (as you know) WHEN HE SAYS HE VISITS A SOLD OUT OLD T IS THE FACT THAT THE REST OF THE 75K SEATS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN SOLD IN THE FORM OF SEASON TICKETS.. ARE THEN BROKEN UP INTO SINGLES AND SOLD PER GAME.YOU HAVE THE SAME SYSTEM AT MAN CITY OFC. I know we won our 19th today mate, but keep it under control. If you ask me for a link on any of that, I give up. You know what you're doing.
