Why is there never any big games on the final weekend?

Question by Tony T: Why is there never any big games on the final weekend? Final matches Chelsea v Blackburn Man City v QPR, Sunderland v Man Utd Swansea v Liverpool Tottenham v Fulham West Brom v Arsenal, Ever notice that? I cant remember the last time a big game was scheduled for the last day. is it done on purpose? or just luck of the draw maybe.Personally I'd like to see the previous years top 4 scheduled to meet on the last day just to hopefully create a bit of drama. Anyway, How are the fixtures for you? I notice we play all of the top 5 away first which is good I hope. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/fixtures/default.stm The draw is not totally random as same city clubs kept from both playing at home for example, plus they seem to schedule a lot of Derby's on the same weekend these days. I dont think I can remember big matches ever being scheduled on the last day and that is going back beyond the start of the Premier. It definitely seems like there is a policy for final day games. But no big deal, just think it would be great if the top two were within 3 pts and playing the last game. Liverpool Arsenal in 89 was unscheduled but is unchallenged as the most dramatic or tense league game ever and would've been even without the last minute winner. Best answer:

I do agree. I noticed that a lot of my mates were on holiday for the last days of the season and they are all big football fans so this may well be the case that its more holiday ish season. They all seem to be about 3 weeks before the end of the season...maybe they don't bring in enough money at these days

What do you think? Answer below!
